We are the dedicated pilots of ATI, the largest Amazon Air carrier in the world. We transport millions of packages annually, support U.S. Military operations, provide extra coverage for UPS air cargo, and assist in various other cargo operations.
Our commitment to delivering superior reliability and service has played a pivotal role in the continued success and growth of ATI and its parent company, ATSG. We take immense pride in our professionalism and unwavering dedication.
“While ATI is the largest Amazon air carrier in the world, our pilots receive the lowest pay rates and retirement benefits of any other pilot flying a Boeing 767 for Amazon. We deliver unmatched reliability, yet we receive less-than-stellar compensation for our performance.”
- ATI MEC Chair Capt. Mike Sterling
ATSG is jeopardizing its ACMI customers.
In 2022, 1/4 of ATI pilots left the airline and that number has only grown with more than 1/3 leaving as of October 2023. This level of attrition is not sustainable and will lead to insufficient staffing to support operations. A market-based contract is the only answer to retain skilled, experienced, professional pilots.
ATI refuses to invest in its people, technology, or services. ATI pilots and our other dedicated staff want to continue to provide the outstanding level of service our customers expect, but we do not have the resources to do so.
ATI pilots have delivered unprecedented reliability and earned ATI and ATSG unprecedented earnings. It’s time for a contract that recognizes the effort of its pilots. #LevelUpATI
In March 2023, after nearly three years of stalled negotiations, we jointly requested mediation through the National Mediation Board (NMB), hoping it would finally bring meaningful progress to the negotiating table. Unfortunately, management continued to drag its feet, showing little intention of reaching a ratifiable agreement.
In October 2023, an overwhelming number of ATI pilots voted to authorize the ATI MEC leadership to take all necessary steps to achieve the contract we deserve.
In August 2025, we reached an agreement with ATI. Stunningly, once the Company returned to Wilmington, Ohio, we were informed by ATI that its parent company, ATSG, had begun objecting to several components of the deal and initiated a lengthy financial review. The Company notified us that ATSG and/or Stonepeak had rejected major financial elements of our agreement, removing approximately 25 percent of the financial value of the terms we agreed to in the first year of the deal. Obviously, this was a deal breaker.
We want ATI to succeed and remain a strong partner for Amazon. However, every day without a competitive contract is another day that talented aviators leave for better opportunities elsewhere. We must secure a competitive pilot contract to retain and attract the best talent and ensure our airline remains the world's largest Amazon carrier.
